Why we love exposed light bulbs!

We have loved using exposed light bulbs in our clients’ projects for many years because it’s a great way of providing good general lighting in an open plan space, and also adding character to other spaces too.

Using exposed light bulbs can be a great option for homeowners that are unsure of their specific interior style. There are lots of different options on the market, which means you can easily choose a timeless design!

How to use exposed light bulbs

Using exposed light bulbs in your home couldn’t be easier!

Instead of choosing a fancy and elaborate chandelier for your foyer or living area, choose one with exposed light bulbs to create a light and airy feel to the space.

Exposed light bulbs can be used in any room of the home, however we particularly like using them in foyers, bathrooms, and even above kitchen islands!

What to watch out for with exposed light bulbs

As with any interior design trend, there are some considerations to take into account when thinking of using exposed light bulbs in your home…

Depending on the light bulb you choose, they can get extremely hot if left on for an extended period of time. Be sure to use an LED model to mitigate the heat issue. If you are sensitive to flashing or bright lights, light fixtures with exposed light bulbs may not be suitable.

Ways to make exposed light bulbs last in your home

Exposed light bulbs can last many years in your home!

It’s all about choosing a stylish light fitting that features exposed light bulbs that will create a light and airy look and feel. There are lots of wall sconces, chanderliers, and pendants that can create a timeless interior.
